The User’s Review: Sigma Zoom Lens 35 -135mm 1:3.5 -4.5 MC Macro for Minolta Sony AF-α

It's heavy because it's built with metal and glass. Feel much more solid than any current versions of zooms from the same manufacture.

  1. How is the picture quality? Does the lens have a problem with it's gears? Sometimes the motor in Sigma lenses is too strong and it strips the gears. Anything you can provide regarding the quality of the photos and mechanics of this lens is appreciated.

    1. Image quality is acceptable on my K-x and I can not tell any difference between this zoom and a newer Sigma model. I heard that the gears in the zoom is problematic, but the newer model should have plastic ones.

  2. I just picked up an excellent example of this lens for $5.00 us. It is very strong and fast on my Sony a65. Images look very nice with good color. I like sigma lenses and this is a rare one..
